Alabama’s Anti-Agenda 21 Leader speaks to Ohio

Less than two weeks post-election, Don Casey drove 600 miles from Birmingham to Columbus – to educate a group of Ohioans about the shadowy issue of Agenda 21, aka Sustainable Development.

The Ohio Liberty Coalition hosted the statewide meeting on Agenda 21 and Thorium energy on November 17.  Mr. Casey, who helped spearhead the anti-Agenda 21 legislation as Vice-chair of Alabama’s Alliance for Citizens Rights (ACR), addressed a group of nearly 200 in central Ohio.

Casey has studied Agenda 21 for twenty years and was instrumental in Alabama’s successful passage of Senate Bill 477. Continue reading

More and more local communities are rising up to oppose local comprehensive land use plans and local ordinances because they claim the policies contained in the documents reflect the recommendations found in the U.N.’s Agenda 21, which result in the loss of property rights and individual freedom. Consequently, proponents of professional planning and sustainable development increase their criticism of the opposition, often resorting to ridicule and personal attacks.
